When the electric car consortium NEVS bought the bankrupt Saab from the Swedish car company’s creditors last month, they bought a lot!
They bought a manufacturer with a fine history, a solid, in-place manufacturing plant, some pretty advanced electric car manufacturing plans and a great staff that can help make the mass-produced, all-electric car a reality.
That said, they didn’t buy the logo, nor apparently did they outright buy the name SAAB.
So our last attempt at putting a design together may have been a little half-cocked, but we’re designers, not lawyers.
We try try to make graphics look good, and updating the Saab logo to include NEVS makes good sense.
Nobody else in Sweden’s going to use the old company name, excepting SAAB AD, the defense contractors, and they don’t really have the need to put a shiny emblem on their anti-aircraft guidance systems and antipersonnel mines.
So here’s the second run of the Saab NEVS logo. We still like it… just a bit more now.
